It may look like a worthless eyesore but the long-abandoned Bulgarian Consulate in Double Bay is sitting on prime real estate worth at least $6.5 million (£5.27 million).
When the Wentworth Courier visited last week, there were piles of rubbish strewn around the three-level monstrosity, which was dilapidated and rusty — a stark contrast to the up-market apartment buildings on the street.
The Bulgarian Government has told the Courier it is considering options for the future use and potential development of the Consulate, which operated between 1964 and 2004.
