Spectrum Corporate Finance has promoted Sanj Benawara to Senior Manager. The news is the latest in a raft of appointments at the firm since the start of 2020.
Mark Farlow, Managing Director at Spectrum Corporate Finance, commented, Sanj has played an important part in delivering the growth of our London office. He has capitalised on his previous experience to play an important role in delivering a number of interesting transactions. He has enjoyed the close involvement on a number of deals and has received excellent feedback from our clients.
Founded in 2010 by Simon Davies, Clive Hatchard and Ian Milne, Spectrum Corporate Finance is a corporate finance and M&A advisory firm which has been involved in a number of Europe’s leading deals. Previous transactions it has worked on from either an advisory or a funding perspective include ICS Cool Energy, Mountain Warehouse, Bargate Homes, Land of Leather, Virgin Wines, Arqiva, British and Irish Modern Music Institute, Red Funnel Group and Raymond Brown.
Benawara joined Spectrum’s team in London in May 2019, and since then has worked closely with Managing Director Farlow and the wider Director team on a number of high-profile deals including the public to private of intellectual property provider Murgitroyd and the acquisition of Premier Park by Sovereign Capital. He is currently working on several transactions in both the Technology and wider Business Services sectors. Prior to joining the firm, he spent a decade in financial planning, having started with KPMG’s graduate scheme, before holding financial planning roles with Balfour Beatty, PwC and Abstract Bee.
Commenting on his recent promotion, Benawara said, since joining the Spectrum team last year, I’ve seen the business continue its growth trajectory. I have enjoyed working closely with clients on a number of transactions, and I look forward to many more successful completions to come.
As the firm continues to grow its profile in its 10th year of business, Spectrum recently committed to a string of recent promotions which brought 27 experienced professionals to the firm across its offices in London, Reading and Southampton. Following this, the firm announced three senior team appointments in February and hiring a new Associate Director a month later.
